Leigh Ann (Tinius) Rutherford, 52, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. She was a member of the Emmaus Road Church and enjoyed sewing, crafting, and making her famous apple butter.
She was born on December 30, 1964, in New Albany, Indiana, to Richard and Violet (Wilson) Tinius.
Along with her parents, Leigh Ann is survived by her loving husband, Tonye Allen Rutherford; children, Brent Swallow and Sarah Medrano (Acosta); 2 grandchildren; and her siblings, Todd Tinius and Jennifer Watts.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 1, 2017, from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150). Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, October 2, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
Memorial Donations may be made in Leigh Ann's memory to The Arbor Day Foundation (100 Arbor Avenue, Nebraska City, Nebraska 68410) or Hosparus-The Community Hospice of Southern Indiana (502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, Indiana 47150).
