Lawrence "Larry" Holt

Lawrence “Larry” Holt passed away on December 3, 2024 at age 86. He was born in Paris, Kentucky to Lawrence and Florine Ohr Holt who preceded him in death. Larry attended Atherton High School and graduated from the University of Louisville where he was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and the Air Force R.O.T.C. Program. He was an avid University of Louisville sports fan and also enjoyed hunting, fishing and collecting golf balls. He was also proud of his service in the United States Air Force. 

Larry is survived by his sisters, Cheryll Hamilton (Jim) and Marsha Goble (Don); his nieces, Erin Hamilton and Courtney Ziegler (Matt) and his nephew, Matthew Goble (Amy). He is also survived by four great nephews and one great niece. Also surviving are his cousins Charlie Bill Stevens (Karen), Joedy Ohr (Janie)) and Tennye Ohr. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to doctors, nurses and staff at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center (5 North) and (Hall 6) at Signature Healthcare in Taylorsville, Kentucky, and Hosparus teams who provided care and support for Larry and his family.
