Lawrence Edward "Larry" Newton Jr., 68, of Louisville, passed away on September 3, 2016. Larry was born in Eminence, KY on November 16, 1947 to the late Lawrence and Ida Sue Newton. He was a retired truck driver and car enthusiast. He was a member of the Chicken Eaters and Wilder Than Most Car Clubs.
Larry is survived by his wife, Brenda Newton; three children, Jennifer Newton, Josh Newton (Amy), and Cody Newton (Holli); step-daughter, Jamie Zahn; 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Charlie Newton.
Memorial service will be held at 6:00 pm Friday, September 9, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 2:00 pm until time of service.
