Lauren Goff, a devoted wife, mother, sister and daughter, passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 43. Lauren was born on August 16, 1981, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Steven and Sherrie (Freeman) Wolfe. She is survived by her loving husband of 16 years, Aaron Goff, and her cherished son, Frankie Goff. Lauren is also survived by her sister, Chase Wolfe-Lauder (Aaron), her mother, Sherrie Wolfe, as well as her niece, Hazel Lauder, and nephew, Theodore Lauder. In addition, she leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who loved her dearly.
A proud 1999 graduate of Waggener Traditional High School, Lauren's career took her into the world of telecommunications, where she managed projects with intelligence and creativity. Beyond her professional life, she was known for her caring nature and strong family orientation. Lauren was an artistic and creative individual—an accomplished cook and baker who delighted in DIY art projects, showcasing her visionary spirit. She had a knack for crafting perfect birthday parties, particularly for her son, Frankie, creating lasting memories filled with joy.
Her personality shone through her sharp wit and humor, making her a cherished friend and confidante to many. Lauren was strong-willed and assertive, embodying determination in every aspect of her life. Her spiritual and protective nature endeared her to those around her, establishing bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Lauren's passions were diverse; she had a love for fashion exemplified by her admiration of Kate Spade, a fondness for her adorable puppies, and an enjoyment of watching her favorite show, Gilmore Girls. She had a wonderful talent for coming up with endearing nicknames for her friends and family, further demonstrating her affectionate and witty spirit.
The legacy Lauren leaves behind is one of love and devotion. Her home, built with care and focus on family, stands as her proudest accomplishment—a testament to the life she crafted alongside her beloved husband and son. She is preceded in death by her father, Steven Kelley Wolfe, and her grandparents, Zula and Jack Freeman, and Boots and Frank Wolfe and her Boston Terrier, Lorelai.
Lauren Goff will be remembered not only for her professional achievements but even more so for the love she shared with those around her. She touched many lives and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know her.
A Celebration of Lauren's life will be on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at The Buechel Train Depot (2230 Buechel Ave, Louisville, KY 40218).
Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:00 am at St Raphael the Archangel (2141 Lancashire Ave, Louisville, KY 40205).
The family requests that contributions in Lauren ’s memory be made to the Kentucky Humane Society.
