Laura Woodward Young, age 66, of Crestwood, Kentucky passed away on Friday, January 17, 2020. She was born November 22, 1953 in Louisville to William Lee Woodward and Peggy Tharp Woodward. She graduated from Doss High School in 1971 and attended the University of Louisville. She was retired from Louisville-Jefferson County Government where she was the Director of the Purchasing Department. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lee and Peggy Tharp Woodward.

Laura is survived by her husband of 44 years, Edgar Young; her son, Josh Young (Katie); grandchildren, Colin and Maddy Young; her brother, Jeff Woodward (Wendie); her sister, Karen Baldwin; nieces and nephews, Will Baldwin, Anne Baldwin, Claire Woodward, Audrey Woodward, Grace Woodward, Billy Woodward, Tommy Woodward; and great nephew, Noah Baldwin; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be 10 am to noon on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky (in Middletown), with a celebration of Laura's life at noon. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky.
