Laura "Missy" Ann Aldridge

Laura “Missy” Ann Aldridge, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky, at the age of 50.

Born on January 25, 1976, in Louisville, KY, Laura “Missy” was a proud native of her city, a place that shaped her vibrant personality and deeply rooted her connections to family and friends. She was the treasured daughter of Judy Baumgartner and Robert Burgin, who preceded her in death.

Missy’s greatest joy in life was her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years, Nick Aldridge, whose partnership and devotion have been steadfast. She was the cherished mother of Lacey Carol Aldridge (Richard Blankenship), Jesse Raymond Aldridge (Lacy Eldridge), and Johnny Lee Aldridge. Being “Mawmaw” to her grandchildren, Lucas Kyle and Sophia Lauren Blankenship, brought her endless happiness and pride.

Family ties remained a constant source of joy and strength for Missy throughout her life. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers: Bobby (Vickie), Daniel, David Baumgartner (Vianey), and Mark Osborne (Sarah). The presence of many other family members and dear friends deeply enriched her days.

Missy was a natural storyteller, bringing laughter and warmth to gatherings with her sense of humor and vivid recollections of days gone by. Her love for cooking filled her home with comforting aromas, while her skilled hands crafted beautiful crochet pieces for loved ones. She relished moments spent on Facebook, sharing stories, connecting with others, and keeping up with friends and family.

Her sense of style was unmistakable, as she delighted in makeup, doing her hair, and wearing jewelry. Missy embraced the simple pleasures of life: cherishing butterflies, cardinals, and flowers, and enjoying the quiet satisfaction of being a homemaker. She found entertainment in music, podcasts, and true crime series, often chatting about her favorites and finding joy in the everyday.

Enjoyed driving backroads as it gave her time for reflection, and watching her children reach their goals was a source of immense pride. Reminiscing with loved ones, sharing old stories, and making new memories were among her most precious pastimes. She looked forward to family gatherings, which there was never enough of. 

Those who knew Missy will remember her for her laugh, quick wit, generous spirit, and the loving support she unfailingly gave to those around her. Her warmth, laughter, and genuine care touched many lives and created memories that will be cherished always.

A visitation for Laura “Missy” Ann Aldridge will be held on August 13, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville.  A special sharing of memories time will follow from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location, with an additional time for visitation continuing from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
