Laura Carlotta (Dennis) Hunt

Laura Carlotta (Dennis) Hunt, 63, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. She had many interests which included singing karaoke, going dancing and gardening out in her yard. Laura enjoyed making visits to the casino and was also known for having quite the collection of shoes. Above all, Laura loved spending time with those she loved, whether it was hosting a pool party or celebrating a birthday.

She was born on June 25, 1962 in Louisville, Kentucky to Carl and Mary (Grinstead) Dennis. In addition to her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her grandparents, Curtis and Anna Grinstread; her siblings, Gordon, Linda, Patsy Jo, Theresa Dennis; and her in-laws, Jack and Cecil Hunt.

Laura is survived by her sons, Greg Dennis (Amanda), Michael Burns; her former husband, Michael Hunt; her step-daughter, Jennifer Spruiell; her grandchildren, Gauge, Amber, Abigail, Jayden, Ethan, Madison, Damien, Giovanni, Nakia, Roy, Joey, Gabriel; her sister, Donna Dennis; her brother, Stanley Dennis (Donna); and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family members. Laura was also incredibly fond of her pets, Chase, Buck and Pharo.

Laura's wish was to be cremated and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with her care. A gathering to celebrate her life will be announced in the coming weeks.
