Larry Wayne Williams, a beloved son, father, brother, fiancé, and grandfather, embarked on his final journey on November 17, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with an aggressive form of cancer. He was born on July 3, 1961, in Louisville.
Larry had a sarcastic and witty personality. He could always give a good laugh or an awkward silence with a joke or a sharp observation.
A graduate of Bishop David High School in 1979, Larry worked at Butternut Bread and John Conti, working diligently and often with humor that delighted his colleagues. Beyond work, he was known for his love of poker, UK sports teams, and horse racing—interests that spoke to his zest for life.
Larry leaves behind his loving fiancé, Regan Lage, whose shared laughter and joy reflected in the deep bond they cultivated. Larry was a proud father to his children: Amy Bond (Bart), Larry Williams Jr., and Sarah Williams (Shane). His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Clarissa Bond, Bridget Bond, Jace Schneider, and Lotus Williams.
He is also survived by his mother, Delores Piper, step-father, Carroll “CB” Piper, sister, Karen Bloch (Michael), brother, David Williams (Andrew), step-brother, Roger Dale Piper (Barbara), and step-sister, Robin McClure (Mike). Together, they mourn a remarkable man whose laughter and spirit will echo in their memories.
Larry was preceded in death by, father, Leo Williams, step-mother, Merilee Williams, step-sister, JoAnn, and step-brother, Robert "Bobby" Hart.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Larry’s life on December 6, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, beginning with visitation at 2 PM, followed by a memorial service at 4 PM. This gathering will be a testament to the adventures he lived and the love he shared, as we honor the legacy of a man whose sarcastic wit brought joy to our hearts. In our hearts, Larry will forever remain—lively, loving, and unforgettable.
