Larry Shoulders Sr.

Larry Shoulders Sr., 70, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Larry gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at Hill Street Baptist Church. He later joined Bates Memorial Baptist Church.

He attended Shawnee High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after graduation. He worked as an Iron Worker for over 30 years. He had an infectious smile and enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, joking and spending time with family and friends.

He was a dedicated and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was born on July 31, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to John and Nora (Foree) Shoulders. He is preceded in death by his Father, John Shoulders and Brother, Randell Shoulders.

Larry is survived by his loving family, Mother, Nora Shoulders, Loving Wife of 52 Years, Yolanda D. Shoulders; Children, Tanikka Shoulders and Larry Shoulders, Jr.; Grandsons, Tarell and Tylen Davidson; Great-Grandchildren, Nioh and Tiana Davidson; Sisters, Johnetta Shoulders, Cathy Shoulders, and Wilma (Ray) Williams, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, May 9, 2025 at Bates Memorial Baptist Church, (620 Lampton Street). His Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Bates Memorial Baptist Church.
