Larry Martin Schuler, Sr.

January 15, 1947 — April 29, 2018

Larry Martin Schuler, Sr., 71, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2018. Larry was a die-hard UK Basketball fan and a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during the Vietnam War.

Larry was born in New Albany, IN on January 15, 1947 to the late Mitchi (Finn) Schuler and former professional basketball player for the Louisville Colonels, Charles "Bucky" Schuler. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Terry, Garnet and Leslie Schuler.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of nearly 46 years, Cindy (Lipps) Schuler; children, Larry Schuler Jr. and his wife, Traci and Jill Schuler; grandchildren, Isaac, Maia, Audrey, Brody and Blake.

A Memorial Gathering will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Celebration of Life will immediately follow at 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen following Larry's wishes.
