Larry Riddell

Larry Riddell, of Louisville, Kentucky, peacefully passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 74 after a long battle with Frontotemporal Dementia. He was born in Louisville on October 10, 1951, and spent his life rooted in the community he knew and loved.

Larry was a devoted husband, he spent 44 years with the love of his life, Terry, before her passing in 2017. He worked for General Electric for more than 20 years before starting his own business. For 24 years, he was the owner and operator of Covenant Industries, building a livelihood through commitment, perseverance, and pride in his work. He was also a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.

He will be remembered as someone who embraced life and never met a stranger. He enjoyed helping neighbors and family and was always up for adventure. Larry enjoyed hot air ballooning, scuba diving, live music, travel, telling dad jokes, cheering on the Louisville Cardinals and always found his way to the beach. He also loved animals, especially his dogs, Shep and Diggy.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Theresa Riddell; his parents, Raymond and Lou Ann Riddell.

He is survived by his children, Dr. Amy Quillo and her husband, Nathan, Jon Riddell, Ryan Riddell and his wife, Chloe, and Mark Riddell and his fiancé, Lisa. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Henry Quillo, Emma Riddell, and Finley Riddell, as well as his brother, Wayne Riddell. May the love of family and the memories they share bring comfort in the days ahead.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 4th, at Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5th at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40222. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 1600 Newburg Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40205.
