Larry Wayne Rice, 61, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 29, 2021. He retired from Kroger after 43 years of dedicated service, where he was known for his welcoming personality and warm smile. Larry had a love for music and was the owner of DJ & Company. He enjoyed traveling out west and always looked forward to his annual trip to Wyoming.

He was born on March 10, 1960, in Stanton, Kentucky, to Monroe Rice and the late Wanda (Spicer) Newman. In addition to his mother, Larry was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Rice.

Along with his father, Larry is survived by his wife, Teresa Rice; daughters, Tracy Haydon (Andy), Kattie Rice, and Madison Rice; stepdaughter, Cathy Butler (Travis Lamb); and grandchildren, Zach, Aubrey, Cameron, Keagan, Gabriella, Lyric, and Isla.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Thursday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville.
