Larry Wade Martin, Sr.

Larry Wade Martin, Sr. 75, passed away on December 25, 2016, he was a Vietnam Veteran, proud father and Pappaw, who loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed working on his vintage cars, as well as spending time at car shows and rod runs. Two of his proudest moments were winning the 2014 Louisville Street Rods car show at Iroquois Park and winning Best Ford and Best Original trophies with 2 of his cars at the Southwest Community Festival Car Show in 2016. Larry loved all of his "car show buddies" that he met through the years and was truly thankful for their friendships.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Dean Martin and sister, Darlene Martin Hester.

Larry is survived by his children, Dana (Kenneth) Sexton and Larry "Marty" Martin, Jr.; grandchildren, Cody Martin and Cameron Anderson; grand-dog, Bailey; brother, Jerry (Jeanette) Martin; niece, Shannon (Bill) Verble and nephew, Todd (Trish) Martin.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 29, 2016, from 3pm-8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). A celebration of Larry's life will be Friday, December 30, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel beginning at 1pm.

Burial will be at Bethany Cemetery, 10917 Dixie Hwy, Valley Station, KY 40272.
