Larry Eugene Housley, Sr.

Larry Eugene Housley, Sr., 65, of Worthville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020.
He was born on January 14, 1955 in Jeffersontown, Kentucky to the late Claude and Alberta Housley. Larry loved music and played the banjo and guitar. He was a devoted "Pappy" who loved his grand babies. He was a skilled handyman and mechanic. He was always working on something for himself or somebody else. He passed down his love of music and knowledge to his family. Larry's family was his life, they will deeply miss him.
He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Jerry and Alvin; and his sisters, Dorothy and Joyce.
Larry is survived by his loving Wife of 47 years, Ina Housley; his children, Stephanie Newton (Sam), Crystal Oakes (Roland), Renee Housley, and Larry Housley II (Cindy); grandchildren, Kyle, Austin, Alyssa, Isabella, Ryan, Wyatt, Abigail, and Nathan; brothers, Claude, Jr., Ernie; sisters, Dolly, Brenda, and Becky; best friend, Kelly Hall (Pam); and numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - East Louisville, (235 Juneau Drive). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Louisville.
