Larry H. Foley

Larry Harlan Foley, 69, of Louisville, passed away on January 29, 2017. Larry was born in Louisville on July 22, 1947 to the late Logan and Dorothy Foley. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War and remained active in Veterans organizations throughout his life, including VFW 1181, Marine Corps League, and American Legion. After leaving the service, Larry worked for Naval Ordnance until his retirement in 2004.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his siblings, Gayle Foley, Terry Foley, Valerie Foley, Nancy and Sid Brown. He leaves his wife of 47 years, Vicky Foley; five children, Patti Clements, Mike Foley, Deb Mattingly (Greg), Matt Foley (Kristie), and Kathy Brooks; and twelve grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272). Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Larry will be laid to rest following a graveside service with military honors on Friday at 2:00 pm at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.
