Larry Wayne Forbes

Larry Wayne Forbes, age 70 of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at the Veteran's Hospital on Tuesday, May 6, 2025.

He was a long-time resident of Columbia, KY, where he enjoyed motorcycle riding, car racing events, Coca Cola, anything chocolate and karaoke.

Larry is survived by his children Chris Forbes (Michelle) and Kasey Kennison (Ren); siblings, Jerry Forbes, Debbie Robinson (Danny), Cindy Long (Richard), Pam Blair Nunn and Tony Blair (Shannon).

Larry has three grandchildren; Carmen Forbes, Kaylee Kennison and Aldan Kennison as well as several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor and Evelyn (Murphy) Blair and his biological father, James R. Forbes, his daughter, Kimberly Forbes and his grandson, Austin Forbes.

A gathering to celebrate Larry's life will be held from 2pm to 4pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243, with a memorial service to follow at 4pm.

A private burial will be held at a later date at Kentucky Veteran’s Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY.

In lieu of flowers donations in Larry’s name may be made to the Hospice Unit at the Robley Rex VA Medical Center GPF 524 (800 Zorn Avenue Louisville, KY 40206).
