Larry Dale Mardis

Larry Dale Mardis, 55, of Jeffersonville, Indiana passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, June 1, 2015. He was an employee at Norton Pavilion for over 36 years. Larry was a 1978 graduate of New Albany High School, an active member at Northside Christian Church, where he served as a greeter and was involved with the Iron Men. He also was a member of the Emmaus Community - Walk 113.

He was born on July 2, 1959 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late William R. and Emma L. (Atkisson) Mardis. Larry was also preceded in death by his siblings, Donna Mardis, infant brother, Robert Mardis, and infant twin brothers, Ronnie and Donnie Mardis.

Larry is survived by his siblings, Beverly Collins (Robert), Eddie Mardis (Kathy), Raymond Mardis (Bobbi); nephews, David Collins, William Collins, Stephen Henson; nieces, Melissa Badgett (Jason), Jill Peden, Amy Grant (Brandon), Jennifer Cravens (Lee); great-nieces, Ashley Collins, Jillian Cravens, Hailey Grant; and many good friends.

Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Northside Christian Church (The Living Room, Entrance A4, 4407 Charlestown Road, New Albany, IN 47150) with a Memorial Service taking place at 7 PM. Cremation was chosen following Larry's wishes. Burial will take place at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
