Kurt Russell Prince

Kurt Russell Prince, 62, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2022. He had served as a volunteer for the New Albany Township Fire Department and was an employee at Mr. P Express in Jeffersonville. Kurt enjoyed racecars, fishing, wrestling and cutting grass on his riding lawnmower.

He was born on May 31, 1959 in New Albany, Indiana to Richard and Henrietta (Hammer) Prince. In addition to his parents, Kurt was preceded in death by his siblings, Richard, Melvin, Ronald, Terry, Tyrone, Judy, Wanda and Betty.

Kurt is survived by his wife, Sandy Prince; sons, Chris Prince (Alicia), Edward Prince (Myranda); step-children, Jennifer Maurer, Jeffery Maurer (Heather); grandchildren, Piper, Avery Prince, Aiden, Landon, Sebastian, Marcario Maurer; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow according to Kurt's wishes and he will be laid to rest at a later date at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
