Kin Gibson, 93, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018. Kin was a loving man who loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. In his spare time, he loved hunting and fishing and was known as a "Mr. Fix-it" who could fix anything.
He was born on April 14, 1925, in Knott County, Kentucky, to the late James and Ida (Collins) Gibson. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Hazel (Amburgey) Gibson; and 5 sisters and 7 brothers.
Kin is survived by his daughters, Rita (Larry) Harmon, Shirley (Lucien) Dean, and Wilma (Chester) Richardson; son, Burchel (Jackie) Gibson; sister, Polly Stamper, 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, 2018, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, (2100 Highway 150, Floyds Knobs, Indiana 47119). His Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church with burial and military honors to follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Greenville, Indiana.
