Kim R. "Kip" Lone, 64, of New Salisbury, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017.
He was born in New Salisbury on December 3, 1952, to the late Paul and Edna (Heishman) Lone.
Kip was drafted and served in the U.S. Army from July 1972 to July 1974 before he was honorably discharged. He was a machinist by traded and employed by L&N and CSX railroads.
Surviving is his loving wife of 45 years, Donna (Phelps) Lone of New Albany, IN; sons, Kephryn R. Lone of New Albany and Kaylin Tommy Lone and his wife, Kristina, of Corydon, IN; grandchildren, Taylor and Hudson Lone, Destiny Lone and Kaylie Weingardner; two brothers and three sisters, Murrell Anne Schweitzer and family, Marlene & Larry Hayden and family, and Paul Lone, Melanie Lone and Phillip Lone and families.
A Memorial Gathering will be from 2 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, July 30, 2017, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Time of Remembrance will be on Monday at 11 AM at the funeral home with burial to follow at New Albany National Cemetery.
