Kim Robertson Blackmon
Kim Alicia Blackmon was born June 11, 1958, to the union of Willie Lee and Sylvia Wheeler. She accepted Christ at Highland Park Missionary Baptist Church and was baptized by the late Rev. R. A. Lyons. She attended Jefferson County Public Schools of Louisville, KY. Kim went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, graduating from Jefferson Vocational School, specializing in geriatric care and worked at various long term care facilities.
In her free time, Kim was an avid reader and enjoyed epic romance novels.
Kim was a free spirit, known for being very protective of her family and friends. She had a passion for the "fight" for the rights and injustices of those less fortunate.
Kim had one son, Leonte Dejuan Robertson and 5 grandchildren.
Kim went on to be with the Lord on December 12, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was loved by all who knew her. Left to mourn is her son, Leonte Robertson; grandchildren, Kassandra Motley, Dionte Colbert, Leonti Colbert, Colyea Reid and Ronae Crowder; siblings, James Bassham Sr., Willie Wheeler Jr., Robin (Dayrel) Wade, and Valerie Wheeler; Uncle John Robertson, Aunts Janice Drain, Joyce (Phillip) Frierson, Lynn Anderson, Robbie Gill, and Sadie Mitchell; and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
