Kenny Darnell Starlwood

Kenny Darnell Starlwood, age 39 passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022 at his home in Shelbyville, Kentucky. Kenny was born September 2, 1982 in Chicago, Illinois and spent his childhood years there and in Marrero, Louisiana and Seattle, Washington before landing in Louisville for his high school years. An Avid skateboarder in youth, sports were always a part of his life. He loved football, especially his New Orleans Saints. Kenny had a love for video games, cartoons, people and life; whether real or from a comic book. He was a big kid with a bigger heart who never knew a stranger. He worked his way up the ladder with Walmart for the past 19 years and treasured all of the friendships he developed there. People, the friendships that he made are what mattered to him above anything else. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Starlwood; uncles, Arthur Miller and Kenneth Starlwood; cousins, Tony Miller, Jr., Omar Miller and Albert Anderson.

Kenny is survived by his mother, Myrna Boone; daughter, Jayla Starlwood; sisters, Sheryl Boone and Courtney Starlwood; nieces, Janelle and Aaliyah; nephews, Elijah, Ameer and Antonio; his beloved, Jennifer Meadows; 5 cousins, as well as aunts and uncles; and a host of relatives and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Kenny's life will be 4 to 7pm on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
