Kenny Wayne Jackson, born on January 8, 1962, in Louisville, KY, peacefully passed away on May 13, 2026. Kenny was the perfect combination of grumpy and funny at the same time, a unique personality that left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
From an early age, Kenny displayed a true passion for the Lord, a devotion that deeply defined his life. He was baptized at Friendship Baptist Church, where his faith was a guiding light. People would often hear him express his heartfelt belief with his signature phrase, "God is Good." This unwavering faith was a cornerstone of his character and provided comfort to his loved ones.
Kenny proudly served his country as an Aircraft Mechanic in the United States Air Force, a testament to his dedication and commitment. After his service, he pursued his love for working on cars, a passion that brought him both joy and fulfillment throughout his life.
Born into a family that meant the world to him, Kenny was the beloved son of the late Lee and Birdell Jackson. Along with his parents, he joins in eternal rest his sister Pamela Richardson and his brother Antonio Jackson, whose memories he carries with him always.
He is survived by his devoted sisters Kim Jackson, and Patricia Lemon; his cherished nieces Delana Richardson, Erica Simmons, Ashley Lemon; and nephews Montaye Thomas and Antonio Jackson Jr. Kenny also leaves behind his beloved uncle Walter Lovelace and cousin Gregory Turner, along with a host of other family members who will miss him deeply.
Kenny Wayne Jackson’s warmth, humor, and strong spirit touched countless lives. Though his gruff exterior was well known, those close to him understood the immense love and kindness beneath. His legacy of faith, service, and family devotion endures in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
He will be remembered not only for his laughter and stories but for the gentle strength behind the words he said so often, “God is Good.” Kenny’s spirit remains a guiding presence, offering comfort and hope to those who grieve his loss. His memory will forever be cherished, and his story will continue to inspire.
