Kenny Crum, Jr. passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 66. Born on May 27, 1960, he will be remembered as a funny and personable man whose presence brought warmth and easy connection to those around him.
Kenny was a graduate of Valley High School, where he played both football and basketball. Those early years reflected the energy and team spirit that remained part of his life. He later served his country proudly as a Navy veteran, a role that stood among the accomplishments he valued most.
He enjoyed the simple pleasures that meant the most to him. Kenny loved fishing and spending time in the great outdoors. He was also an avid UK Wildcat fan and enjoyed playing the lottery. Whether sharing a laugh, talking sports, or enjoying time outside, he was someone others found easy to be around.
Among Kenny’s proudest accomplishments, none meant more to him than being a father and serving his country. He also gave of himself in meaningful ways, including coaching his son’s basketball team, creating memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth E. Crum, Sr. and Patricia Crum; granddaughter, Jaylyn Crum; brothers, Timmy Black and Jimmy Black; grandparents, Peg and Link Lieber; uncles, Glenn Crum and Bobby Howlett and aunts, Lola Crum and Edna Marie.
Kenny leaves behind to cherish his memories, his children, Sarah Crum and Justin Crum; grandchildren, Ethan, Dominick, Eve, Selene, Josh, Julius, Janna and Brielle, great-grandchildren, Christopher, Sage, Malahki and Cecilia; sister, Cathy Bradley Crum; aunts, Ann Crum and Lynn Howlett; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to honor Kenny’s life during visitation on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. A funeral service will be held there on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. Kenny will be laid to rest at Bethany Cemetery.
Kenny Crum, Jr. will be remembered with love for his humor, his personable nature, his devotion as a father, and the pride he took in serving his country. His memory will remain with all who had the privilege of knowing him.
