Kenny M. Burk passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026, in Greenville, Indiana, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born on March 13, 1951, in New Albany, Indiana, and will be remembered as a loyal husband, a devoted father, a loving grandfather, and a man whose hardworking, honest, and straightforward nature guided the way he lived.

Kenny was a proud graduate of Floyd Central High School. He went on to earn some college credit and studied a variety of trades, reflecting a steady curiosity and a willingness to work with both his hands and his mind. For numerous years, he worked diligently as a supervisor for Kosmos Company, where his strong work ethic and dependable character were evident to those around him.

Outside of work, Kenny found joy in painting, sketching, going to auctions, and spending time with his friends and family. He was a man of faith, and that faith shaped the quiet strength and sincerity he brought to his life. His creativity and his love of art and nature left lasting memories for those who knew him. Among his proudest accomplishments was watching his family grow and thrive, a blessing that meant more to him than anything else.

Above all, Kenny treasured his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Helen Burk; his children, Robert Burk and his wife Ann, and Perry Burk and his wife Jade, Step-daughter, Kerri Flanagan and her husband Joe, step-son David Cunningham and his wife Kristine; his brother, Malcolm Burk and his wife Barbara; and his sisters, Sylvia Cooley and her husband Frank, and Cynthia Shayla and her husband Grant. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Jordan (Bradley), Chelsea (Mitch), Zachary (Randy), Rebecca (Christian), Brittany and many loving step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Each of them carries forward the love, guidance, and steady presence that Kenny gave so freely.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Noble; his father, Hulon Burk; his sister, Carmen Summer; his brothers, Howard Burk and Myron Burk; and his sisters, Shirley Jones and Tuwanna Phelps. Their memories remained part of his life and story, and they now welcome him into eternal peace.
