Kenneth R. Stiller

Kenneth R. Stiller, 88, of Floyds Knobs, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. He was a 1950 graduate of New Albany High School and went on to receive his Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Ball State University. Ken served in the United States Air Force and taught English and served as the counselor at Georgetown High School. He was instrumental in the opening of Floyd Central High School and became the school's Guidance Counselor, Business teacher, and coach of the High Q Team.

Ken was a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church, Ball State University Alumni Association, and the Indiana State Teacher's Association. He was the former Treasurer for the New Albany Schools Credit Union and had been an active volunteer at The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts for 35 years. Ken enjoyed traveling the world, and Switzerland was his favorite country to visit.

He was born on July 25, 1932, in Floyds Knobs, Indiana, to William and Elnora (Batliner) Stiller. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by eight brothers and one sister.

Ken is survived by his loving wife of over 57 years, Marilyn (Wheatley) Stiller; children, Jodi Meier (Steven), Tony Stiller, and Terri Canning (Joe); sister, Vonda Morgan; grandchildren, Joseph Fernandez, Rachel Stewart (Ian), Daniel Fernandez (Jannelle), Aaron Fernandez, and Will and Tyler Canning; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Due to the pandemic, services will be held privately, and Ken will be laid to rest at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church Cemetery in Floyds Knobs. Main Street, Louisville, KY 40202).
