Kenneth H. Rice, 90, of Louisville, Kentucky went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Ken was a long time member of Westport Road Church of Christ, serving in many capacities such as Bible teacher, mission worker, Deacon and Elder.
Upon his retirement from working in the printing industry here in Louisville, Ken worked tirelessly at the church repairing machinery, plumbing and many other items. He also, until the last four years, completed all the printing needs of the church.
He was born October 30, 1927 in Akron, Ohio. He is preceded in death by his father, James H., and mother, Christine K. Rice, and his brother, Clifton Rice.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife Ruth (Collins) Rice, daughter Carol Gilmour (Gary), granddaughter Karina Pentecost (Aaron) and great-grandson Colton Pentecost.
Visitation will be 10:30am-12pm, Monday, April 23, 2017 at Westport Road Church of Christ 4500 Westport Road Louisville, KY 40207, with a celebration of Ken's life at 12pm. Burial will follow in Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Westport Road Church building fund and to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
