Kenneth G. Parsley, 79, of Palmyra, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisherman who also enjoyed gardening. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and retired from General Electric after many years of employment.
He was born on October 21, 1940, in Gamaliel, Kentucky, to the late Dewey and Lucy (Strickler) Parsley. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Morris Parsley, Doris Mahaney, Geneva Pitcock, Lucille Hickey, Ruby Beasley, Dee Petzold, and Stanley Parsley.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Torchye Parsley; son, Jimmy (Debbie) Parsley; daughter, Jane (David) Whobrey; grandchildren, Brandon (Megan) Parsley, Eric (Janelle Graham) White, Evan White, Tyler Whobrey, and Scotty (Stephanie) Asbury; great-grandchildren, Ryder, Parker, Carson, and Tanner White, Sophia and Stella Parsley, and Kyle, Alexis, and Kenna Asbury; sister, Norma Reecer; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2020, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home with entombment to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
