Kenneth Wayne Gary

January 19, 1948 — March 31, 2024

Kenneth Wayne Gary, Sr., 76, went home to his Heavenly Father on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024, surrounded by his beloved family.

He was known as Ken, Kenny, Wayne, Dad Papaw and Grandpa. He graduated from Male High School in 1967. He was on their football team winning several championships. Wayne was a proud American, after graduating he enlisted in the Army and proudly served for eight years. Following his discharge he started at Dupont Dow, where he worked over 30 years before retiring. His greatest love was watching his grandchildren play sports and spending time with his family. Wayne enjoyed attending church, serving as a Deacon, and singing in the choir, golfing and cheering on The Wildcats. He had a special love for animals, especially his cat Missy, and his grand pets. Wayne had many good friends, and he treasured those
friendships tremendously.

Wayne was born on January 19th, 1948 to Kenneth Gary and Mallie Lou Masters (Satterly) in Louisville, Ky. Wayne is survived by his wife, Yvonne "Bonnie" (Hare) of 29 years. They met as children and were reunited by her brother Jerry later in life.
