Kenneth Albert Schweitzer

November 15, 1940 — February 12, 2015

Kenneth "Ken" Albert Schweitzer, 74, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, was called home on Thursday, February 12, 2015. Kenneth was the owner of K-S Trucking, Inc. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Murrel Anne (Lone) Schweitzer; children, Scott, Julie, Chris (Jeanie) Schweitzer, and Lori Hampton-Schweitzer; grandchildren, Justin, Drew, Joshua, and Zachary Hampton, Alora, Casey, and Jadyn Schweitzer; brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul Lone, Marlene (Larry) Hayden, Melanie Lone, Philip (Lisa) Lone, and Kim (Donna) Lone. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Lillian Schweitzer and in-laws Paul and Edna Lone.

K-S Trucking Racing Team; sponsors of Jeff/GRC Junior Girls Little League World Series Team; U. S. Air Force veteran; member of VFW and American Legion; long-time supporter of local girls' and men's softball and a Corvette and NASCAR racing fan.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2 to 8 PM and 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, Indiana). His Funeral Service will be on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 1 PM with burial and military honors to follow at Bethlehem Cemetery located in Crandall, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Art Council of Southern Indiana (820 East Market Street, New Albany, IN 47150) or to any youth sports program.
