Kelly Lynn Byrd

Kelly Lynn Byrd, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished friend, passed away on July 19, 2025, in New Albany, Indiana, at the age of 42. Born on December 27, 1982, in Metairie, Louisiana, Kelly gracefully embodied strength, love, and compassion throughout her life.

Kelly’s family and friends were her pride and joy. She found her greatest fulfillment in caring for her husband, Billy Young, and their children, Dylan Young, Camie Ross, Chris (Katie) Young, and Joan Young. Each moment spent with them brought her immense joy, and she considered being a mother her proudest achievement. Kelly's nurturing spirit extended beyond her immediate family, as she was a beloved sister to Alisha (Porsha Lamb) Rogers, a cherished aunt to several nieces and nephews, and a dear friend to many who were fortunate to know her.

A woman of many passions, Kelly loved spending her days hunting, fishing, and tending to her yard, finding solace and happiness in the beauty of nature. These hobbies reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life, characteristics she also shared with those around her. Her infectious laughter and warm smile would light up any room, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Kelly is preceded in death by her father, Clifford Byrd, and her grandparents, who, in their own ways, have shaped her into the person we remember and celebrate today.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering devotion. As those who knew her gather to honor her memory, they will remember not only her unwavering support and kindness but also the countless moments of joy she fostered in every life she touched.
