Keith Allan Woosley, a beloved landscaper and cherished friend, passed away on June 14, 2026, in Louisville, Kentucky. Born on April 9, 1972, Keith lived a life full of laughter, compassion, and unwavering friendship, leaving behind a legacy that touched everyone who had the privilege to know him.
With a vibrant personality that could light up any room, Keith was known as the life of the party—funny, outgoing, and a friend for life. His warm heart was evident in his constant willingness to help others in need and his reputation as a good listener. Friends and family alike treasured his compassionate spirit and the genuine kindness that he carried with him daily.
Keith’s passions were as diverse as his personality. He found joy in listening to music and had a special love for singing Karaoke, where his lively spirit truly shone. Gaming was a favorite pastime, with hours joyfully spent playing PlayStation, particularly The SIMS and Roller Coaster Tycoon. A devoted traveler and animal lover, Keith’s heart belonged especially to his dog, Eddy, who was a beloved companion through many of life’s adventures. His creative side was often revealed in the songs he made on the Suno app, a small but meaningful expression of his vibrant soul. Beyond hobbies, Keith was always just a text away, checking up on family and keeping those he loved close to his heart.
Keith is survived by his devoted partner of 30 years, James Newman; his loving father, David Gibson, Sr., and stepmother Sylvia; sisters Sherry Payton and Terri Bradley (Jonathan); and brothers Jack Woosley, Tommy Woosley, and Jerry Gibson. His life was further enriched by a host of extended family and friends who remember him fondly. He is preceded in death by his mother Marcella Marie Hazel, brother David Shawn Woosley, sisters Marcy Woosley and Donna Fenwick, grandmother Hazel Bonn, and nephew Michael James Woosley.
A visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, located at 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272, on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at the same location starting at 2:00 p.m.
Keith Allan Woosley’s memory remains a cherished gift to all who knew him—a beacon of joy, love, and enduring friendship. Though he has departed from this world, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to share in his life’s journey.
