Keith D. Karstens

Keith D. Karstens, of Brandenburg, Kentucky, passed away on September 10, 2026, at the age of 74. He was born on February 17, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois.

Keith will be remembered as a master craftsman and woodworker whose skill and care were evident in the work of his hands. He was also known for his sense of humor and for being eager to help anybody. Above all, he loved his children and grandchildren, and that love remained at the center of his life.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Karstens; his son, Josh Karstens (Brie); his daughter, Vanessa Karstens; his step-daughter, Symantha Bowles (Tim); his stepson, Matt Daniels (Danielle); his brothers, Kirk Karstens (Sherrie) and Dale Karstens; and his sister, Sherri Gayken. He also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, and 7 step-great-grandchildren who were deeply loved by him and who brought him great joy.

Keith was preceded in death by his daughter, Talitha Karstens; his mother, Jane Karstens; his father, William Karstens; his brother, Bill Karstens; and his sister, Kathy Mueller.

Keith will be remembered with love for his generous spirit, his laughter, and the steady way he cared for those around him. May his memory bring comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead.
