Kayla Morales Pena

Kayla Morales Pena, born September 27 ,2006 at Baptist east hospital . Kayla passed away at Brownsboro Hospital on Friday November 7, 2025. At the time of her death she was 19,Kayla was bright and full of life,she cared a lot about the people who surrounded her. She love Everyone who was around her she was somebody who supported you thru thick or thin she felt everything but always had a big heart her laughter would fill a room that you could hear from one room to the next. You couldn’t help to not laugh with her. She was the kind of person that would spread joy by just walking in a room her personality was always so genuine even to the people she didn’t know.

Kayla is survived by her loving mother, Martha Peña; her father, Kerli Morales; grandmother, Olicia Hernandez; grandmother, Bertha Cruz; grandfather, Vicencio Morales; sister, Wendy Gamboa Pena; brother, Henry Peña; nieces, Cynthia Ruiz Gamboa, Samantha Ruiz Gamboa and Kimberly Ruiz Gamboa; aunt, Liliana Peña; cousins, Andrea Peña, Daniel Peña, Alex Dupin, Ximena Pena and Cristian Pena; uncle, Cristobal Pena; and a host of family and many friends.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, November 14, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, East Louisville Chapel, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. A celebration of Kayla's life will be held at 6pm there.
