Kattie Evans

Kattie Evans, 87, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Kattie was the 1st Church Mother at Miracle Temple of Deliverance Church where she attended until her health failed. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies, sewing and making quilts, and one of her favorite pastimes was going fishing. She loved spending time with her children and especially her grandchildren.

She was born on May 11, 1933 in Clarksdale,, Mississippi to Moses and Rosie (Carvin) Bartee. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Connie Evans, Sr., Sisters, Annie Taylor, Lucile Robinson, and Edith Henderson, Brothers, James Bartee, Frank Bartee, and Moses Bartee, Jr.

Kattie is survived by her Son, Fred Bartee, Son, Albert (Vermelle) Bartee, Daughter, Doris Bartee, Son, Connie (Rebecca) Evans, Grandchildren, Albert Bartee, Jr., Alan Bartee, Charlee Merriweather, Breanna Merriweather, Porsche Merriweather, Asian Evans, Ayre Evans, Argentina Evans, Alex Evans, and Ayden Evans, Sisters, Mattie (Robin) Ketton, and Lettie Bartee. Kattie also leaves behind to cherish her memory 8 Great-Grandchildren, and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Friends, Church Family, and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Miracle Temple of Deliverance, (2208 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am, Pastor Gabriel Hatcher officiating, and burial to follow at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery (Central) in Radcliff, Kentucky.
