Kathryn Beazley Sleamaker, 78, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021.
She was born on August 7, 1943 in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Coleman and Gayle (Tillery) Beazley.
Kathy graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology. She worked at the Louisville Chapter American Red Cross for 30 years in several different positions. She loved horses, singing with her beautiful soprano voice, cooking, gardening, watching old movies, Louisville basketball and football and many other sports. Her greatest joy was spending time with her kids, grandkids and friends.
Kathy is survived by her daughters, Meredith Sleamaker (Dorothy Hickerson), Erika Taylor (Dave), four grandchildren Will, Kate, Bradley (Shenya) and two great-grandchildren Prince and Zy'ere. She is also survived by her siblings Mary Lynn Donohoe (James), Charles Beazley (Robbie), niece Jennifer Slaughter (John), four nephews Mark Donohoe (Anne), Christopher Donohoe (Rachael), Adam Beazley (Cristina) and Dr. Clayton Bratton (Roxanne) as well as Dr. Thomas Sleamaker and former sister-in-law Ann Faught (Norman).
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4:00 pm on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Newcomer Cremation, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243).
The family requests that contributions in Kathy's memory be made to the donor's charity of choice.
