Katheryn Rosette Tuggle

September 7, 1933 — December 8, 2013

Katheryn Rosette Tuggle, age 80 of Louisville, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013. She was born September 7, 1933 in Bagdad, Kentucky to the late Edgar and Daisy Middleton Snavely. She was a devoted member of Westport Road Baptist Church for over 49 years and a member of the W.M.U. Katheryn was a retiree in food service with the Jefferson County School System and worked over 10 years in the nursery at her church. In retirement, she and her husband volunteered in local nursing homes, visiting the sick and home bound. She is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Bernard Tuggle; her parents; siblings, Charles Edward Snavely and Roy Cecil Snavely.

Katheryn is survived by her loving husband of almost 60 years, Claude; children, Sherrye Beckett (Tim) and Terri Hereford Reid (Robert); grandchildren, Tamara Tougas (Alain), Traci Skaris (Johnathan) , Kati Hereford and Stephen Hereford; sister, Jeanette Meece (Carl). Also surviving are a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral ceremony will be 2p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Westport Road Baptist Church, 9705 Westport Road with burial to follow in Eastwood Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Saturday from 1-2 p.m. all at the church.
