Katherine Marie Cooper

Katherine Marie Cooper, 74, of Eastview, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Katherine was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all. She was a simple woman who loved her family, art, cooking, and loved to tell stories. She will truly be missed by anyone and everyone who had the honor of knowing her.

She was born on December 21, 1946 in Rineyville, Kentucky to Simon and Iva Daugherty as Linda E. Daugherty. She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Simon C. Daugherty and mother, Rev. Iva P. Daugherty; children, Juanita E. Allen and Mildred Glyn Parsons; siblings, Samuel Daugherty, Carroll Daugherty, Charles Daugherty, and Elmina Chipps.

Katherine is survived by her loving family, children, Samantha E. (Marvin) Skaggs and James E. (Lelia) Allen; grandchildren, James B. Allen, Austin G. Carter, and Hunter R. Allen; 3 great-grandchildren; bonus daughter, Sue R. Parrish; bonus granddaughter, Stephanie Duncan; sisters, Edna Mae Khran, Vera McNutt and Evelyn Palmer; sister-in-law, Brenda Daugherty; her church family at Needham Cumberland Presbyterian Church. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family, and friends to cherish her loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Needham Cumberland Presbyterian Church, (180 Laurel Ridge Road). Her Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Monday, at Needham Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial to follow at White Mills Community Cemetery.
