Karter Mason Ray Bouyea

Karter Mason Ray Bouyea, of Louisville, Kentucky, was born on February 18, 2026, in Louisville and passed away on August 25, 2026, in Louisville. In his brief but deeply cherished life, Karter brought immeasurable love to all who knew him.

Karter will be remembered for the joy he gave so freely. He loved to hold onto a finger and answer with the biggest smile. He liked to sit up with his dad in the middle of the night and have their own special conversations. He was known as a little drool box, especially with his Papa, and his greatest smile, bright blue eyes, and unmistakable Stephon look made him unforgettable. He was his dad’s Little Man and a true Momma’s Boy. To his family, he was perfect.

He is survived by his loving mother, Amber Bouyea, and his father, Stephon Bouyea. He also leaves behind his brothers, Hunter Bouyea, Xander Bouyea, and Spencer Bouyea, who will carry his memory with them always.

Karter is also lovingly remembered by his family, including his Hanny, Stacy Goldsmith; Pops, David Goldsmith; Pipi, Johnny Bouyea; Mimi, Beth Bouyea; Papa, Timothy Samons; Nana, Jessie Sammons; his uncles Alex Samons, Joey Samons, John Bouyea, and Josh Sammons; Jeremy Bouyea, lovingly known as Uncie; his aunties, Megan Samons, Haley Samons, Natalie Samons, Maddy Samons, and Cierra Sammons; his great-grandfather, Donnie Cox (Glenda); Memaw, Crystal Hale; Mamaw, Tammy Carroll; great-grandmother, June Bouyea; and numerous cousins and extended family. Each of them held a special place in Karter’s life and in the love that surrounded him from the very beginning.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sherry Eddelman; his uncle, Cody Cox; his great-grandfather, Vance Hale; his great-grandmother, Dolly Kay Samons; his great-grandmother, Joann Cox; his grandfather, Julian Samons; his great-grandfather, Reginald Bouyea; and his great-uncle, Carmen Bouyea.

Visitation will be held on September 3, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville, 10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, Kentucky 40272. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Though his time here was short, Karter Mason Ray Bouyea filled it with tenderness, smiles, and a love that will remain in the hearts of his family forever. He will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
