Karina Starr Mowry

Karina Starr Mowry, 12, of Clarksville, Indiana passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 23, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident outside of Knoxville, Tennessee. She was an active student at River Valley Middle School where she participated in theater, band, track, and cheerleading. Karina was also family oriented and full of life. She possessed a smile that could light up the darkest room.

She was born on February 2, 2006 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Karina is survived by her mother and father, Jacqueline (Hutchens) and Cory Canter; sister, Addyson Canter; grandparents, Tom Hutchens, Angela and Lee McKinstry, Pam and Eddie Canter; Robert E. Mowry (birth father) as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 PM to 8 PM Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday, August 3, 2018 at St. Augustine's Catholic Church (315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville). Cremation will follow and Karina will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.

Contributions in Karina's memory may be made to the Karina Starr Memorial Fund in care of any local Stockyards Bank and Trust Company location.
