Karen E. Sparks

Karen E. Sparks, 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2026. A devoted mother, cherished mamaw, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, Karen touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her love for life was evident in her joy for gambling, sunbathing by the pool, trips to New Orleans and Florida, and delight in her grandchildren.

Born on August 15, 1959, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Howard and Carol (Miller) Goodlett, Karen lived a life rich in love and gratitude. She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Goodlett, Jr., and her siblings, Nora Nicoulin and Michael Goodlett.

Karen leaves behind her mother, Carol L. Goodlett, her son, Jeremy (Nic) Sparks, daughter, Jaclyn M. (Jeff) Hinton, and her treasured grandchildren, Devyn Hall, Dylan Hall, and Logan Lanham. She is also survived by her siblings, Peggy Lardner and Howie Goodlett, along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
