Karen Lynn (Carroll) Cobb Sanders

Karen Lynn "Kay" (Carroll) Cobb Sanders, 75, of Georgetown, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2016. She was a 1959 graduate of New Albany High School and a retired custodian for the Clarksville School Corporation.

She was born on July 6, 1941, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Charles Carroll and Ruth (Jones) Carroll Blackman. Kay was also preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn Straud.

Kay is survived by her children, Mark Cobb (Gemma), Kevin Cobb (Lisa), Karla Shawler (Rick), Greg Cobb (Heather), and Jenny Wright (Barry); brothers, Pat Carroll (Rosalee) and Creel Carroll (Tako); 10 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016, at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 10:00 a.m. Her Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday in the chapel at the funeral home with cremation to follow according to Kay's wishes. She will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
