Karen Lynn (Lipsey) Byerly

Karen Lynn (Lipsey) Byerly, 59, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. She enjoyed playing Bunco and going on trips with her girlfriends. Karen was a hard worker, who genuinely liked going to work every day and spreading kindness to all who crossed her path. She was an outstanding mom and loved being a Nana.

She was born on October 19, 1962, in Queens, New York, to the late Douglas and Billie Jean (Mauney) Lipsey. Karen is survived by her children, Jeff Byerly (Kerri) and Shelly Popp; grandchildren, Jude, Jonas, and Eleanor Byerly; brothers, Richard and Robert (Margie) Lipsey; and niece and nephew, Daniel and Emily Lipsey.

Karen's wish was to be cremated. A reception of family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with a sharing of memories beginning at 2:00 p.m.
