June Wallace Parrish, 94, passed away on February 24, 2018. June and her husband, Robert "Whitey" Parrish were former owners of Cecil Payne Café for 60 years. She was known as Ms. June to the loyal 32nd Street Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Whitey" Parrish; her first husband, Cecil C. Payne; parents, Harrison Benjamin and Elizabeth Arnold Wallace; brother, Joseph Wallace; sisters Mildred Dahl and Mary E. Smith and her son-in-law, Arnold W. Ealey.
She left behind to cherish her memory, her children, Dr. Vaughn (Debbie) Payne, Celia (Michael) Hallahan and Janice Parrish; grandchildren, Erica (Tim), Cameron (Kelly) and Jenelle; great-grandchildren, Gage, Brennan and Kennedy and her fur baby, Squeaks.
Visitation will be at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY on Friday, March 2, 2018 from 4pm-8pm. A funeral Mass will be at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 1925 Lewiston Dr, Shively, KY beginning at 11am on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Entombment will follow at Cave Hill Cemetery, 701 Baxter Avenue, Louisville, KY.
