May 1, 1927 — July 27, 2016

June Marie Martin, 89 of Louisville, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2016 at Norton Healthcare Pavilion. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Theodore K. Martin; two sons, James R. Martin and Larry K. Martin; and nine brothers and sisters with whom she grew up in Pippa Passes, KY.

She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Lawrence, IN. It was a quiet place she loved to visit and worship with fellow Christians.

June is survived by two daughters, Phyllis J. Cole and Shirley Cooper (Ray); one son, Kenneth L. Martin (Audrey); one sister, Faye Waddell of Celine, TN; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy, Louisville, KY 40272) with visitation from 9:00 am until time of service. Private family burial in Memorial Park Cemetery in Indianapolis, IN will follow services.
