June Elizabeth (Graham) King Kanode

December 1, 1929 — October 16, 2018

June Elizabeth (Graham) King Kanode, 88, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at Providence Nursing Home in New Albany.

June lived life to the fullest. She loved to travel, to see family and old friends, and she made new friends wherever she went. She really enjoyed golf. She was an excellent player herself and one of Tiger Woods' biggest fans.

June retired from Merck Drug Co. and lived in Ohio, California and Indiana over the years. She was asked recently if there was one thing she wished she could have done and she said "Nothing, I did it all. I had a great life".

She was born in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Mildred Graham; former husband, Thomas King; sisters, Jacqueline Jessie, Mary Graham, Ann Hedayat; and her special boy, her grandson, Uriah M. King.

June is survived by her daughter, Karen Rigby; and son, Steven King; former husband, James Kanode; and many nieces and nephews. June was also survived by her sister, Sarah Yslas (Ray), who then joined June the very next day on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. Now, all the sisters are together again.

Her family would like to thank the staff of Providence Nursing Home for taking such good care of June and helping her through these difficult years.

Cremation was chosen following June's wishes.
