His thirst for knowledge culminated in a PhD from the University of Oklahoma in 1966, a testament to his commitment to academic excellence.

Following the completion of his education, Julius embarked on a distinguished career with 3M Company in Minnesota. However, his true calling came when he moved to Louisville, where he dedicated over 40 years of his life serving as a professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Louisville. His contributions to the field and influence on countless students underscored his unwavering commitment to education and innovation.

Outside of his professional accomplishments, Julius was a man of many interests. He found joy in reading and tirelessly studying the stock market. His adventurous spirit led him to travel widely, and he cherished the moments spent outdoors with friends. Julius is survived by his beloved sister, Ming Ming Wong Pang; his sister, Grace Wong Lau; his brother, Kenneth Wong, and his wife, Sue, along with numerous nieces and nephews, all of whom will carry forward his memory with love and fond recollections.

He will be greatly missed, remembered for his kind spirit, his intellectual curiosity, and his nurturing influence on both his family and his students. The impact of his life will resonate in the hearts of many for years to come.
