Julius Frazier Johnson, Sr., 61, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on August 30, 2015. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos. Julius loved fireworks and spending time with his family.

He was born on December 22, 1953 in New Albany to the late Ernest, Sr. and Margaret L. (Maxey) Johnson. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Ernest Johnson, Jr., Vetchel Johnson; and daughter-in-law, Andrea Johnson.

Julius is survived by his wife, Janice (Sutton) Johnson; sons, Julius Johnson, Jr. (fiancée, Amanda Pierce), Maurice Sutton (fiancée, Savannah Dunn), Bryant Sutton (Ashley), and Jermaine Johnson; daughters, Dana Thompson (Adrian), Mary Kay Johnson (fiancé, David Jennings), Kennitra Johnson; sisters, Pamela Smith, Shirley Smith, Nikita Wise, and Concecta Russ (Charles); brother, Nicky Johnson; 19 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a slew of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Friday, September 4, 2015 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his Funeral Service taking place at 1 PM. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in New Albany.

Contributions in Julius' memory may be made to his wife, Janice.
