Listen to Obituary

Julian Gustavo Hollins, 50, of Louisville, Kentucky, entered into his eternal life on Wednesday, July 29, 2026.

Julian was a follower of Christ and a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. Julian rarely met a stranger, and he treated everyone he encountered with genuine kindness while his smile and laughter lit up every room he entered. Julian was a loving friend to all who knew him, and to know him was to truly be blessed.

Julian was preceded in death by his father, Jack Cochran, of Flint, Michigan.

Julian leaves behind to treasure his memory his wife and best friend, Megan Newton-Hollins; sons, Grayson & Hunter Newton; daughter, Arsonlove Abney; mother, Velma Williams; step-father, Leon Williams; sister, Kerri Owsley (Brandon); mother-in-law, Karen Fentress; sister-in-law, Amy Raley (Mark); brother-in-law, Sean Fentress (Michelle); nieces, Maya & Ryan Owsley; nephews, Miles & Brock O’Connor and Logan & Brodie Fentress; and several beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Julian was a graduate of North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky, before attending and graduating with his bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisville, where he studied Justice Administration.

Julian enjoyed collecting Marvel and DC comic books, cooking (He made the best pancakes!), cheering on UofL athletics (Go Cards!), playing games like Scrabble and Dominoes around the kitchen table, going on date nights with Megan, and spending quality time with his family and friends.

Julian fought a long health battle, but he never once gave up. He fought valiantly every day and he did so with a smile on his face and with faith in his Lord. Because of his resilience, many looked to Julian for inspiration, encouragement, and support through their own battles.

Julian’s memory will live on as a comfort to all who knew him. He was deeply loved and will be deeply missed.
