Judy Kay (Horstman) Stutsman, 68, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away on January 18, 2017 at her daughter's home with her family by her side. She retired from University of Louisville Dental School after many years of service. Judy was Catholic by faith and enjoyed reading, knitting, music, traveling, walking on the beach and especially spending time with her precious grandchildren. She had a smile that could light up a room, and her strong willed spirit and giving heart were contagious to all.
Judy was born on November 7, 1948 in Seymour, Indiana to Francis and Geneva (Nichter) Horstman. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Leonard Elsner. She is survived by her loving children; Julie Brian (Steve), and Jeanna Rudicel; sisters, Joan Elsner, and Mary Jane Vogel (Clarence); 4 grandchildren, Kaelin, Colin, Laela, Lilyana, along with dear friends, Richard Stutsman, Peggy Worman, and Gwen Mattingly.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude and endless efforts to the Brown Cancer Center and Dr. Elizabeth Riley. The family is also grateful to Hosparus for their support in her final days.
There will be a Memorial Visitation on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 3 to 6 PM with a Memorial Service to follow at 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane , New Albany, Indiana 47150).
